As a Pascagoula photographer, I know the thought of adding a photography session to the exhausting newborn season can be overwhelming at first momma. There’s deciding where your session will take place. What is everyone going to wear? Will I have time to get everyone together? Will I be able to get myself ready for these portraits that will be on our walls for years? Can I even manage a shower? How did these last few weeks go by so quickly? Where will I find time to even be able to enjoy the images?
Did reading that make your heart rate quicken a little? Let me put your mind at ease – your experience will be nothing like this with me! My goal of course for any session is to provide you with beautiful, timeless portraits. However, my more important goal is to do it while giving you the most seamless, stress-free experience possible. No more shoot planning shuffle, I’ve got you covered!
The Williams Family
Everything about this sweet boy’s newborn session was perfect. It was in their home, relaxed, cozy, and full of so much love!
In Pascagoula, we don’t often get really low temperatures and our “winter” is short-lived. Because of this, our client wardrobe is full of light, flowy fabrics, but I am sure to keep a handful of beautiful, cold weather options available for occasions just like this.
For Mom, we decided on a beautiful gauze cotton long sleeve dress in the coziest shade of cream. Big brother wore a soft flannel shirt, and we did a double swaddle for the outdoor photos for Baby Williams. Then to round out everyone’s look, Dad chose a button-down and his favorite khaki chinos. Since we dressed a bit warmer, we were even able to make our way outdoors for a few portraits.
It’s always such an honor when clients ask to have their newborn session in their home. Your home, it’s where so many memories will be made in these early days and to be able to document your first family portraits in it, is truly an honor.
While it can sometimes require a bit of extra planning and possible light adjustments the day of, the outcome is extra special. Be sure to get in touch if you’re interested in an in-home session so we can determine if it might be a good fit for your family!
