As any momma can attest, the path to motherhood isn’t always an easy or linear one. So many small pieces contribute to the experience, and with them come an array of feelings. There can be unforeseen bumps in the road like what can feel like a delayed arrival. There’s also joys we never expected to be so moving, like feeling the little flutter of baby kicks for the first time. No matter what your journey looks like, as a Bay St. Louis maternity photographer, I’m so honored to walk with you through your new season.

The Mpagi Family

For the Mpagi family, pregnancy wasn’t exactly a walk in the park. Momma will be the first to tell you that pregnancy was a bit rough for them. It’s why she was so over the moon when her precious husband booked a surprise maternity session for her as a way to celebrate their new addition! He loved that she would be pampered with my services, and the look on his face was pure joy when she face-timed her mom so she could see her. 

Momma chose two beautiful dresses from the LSP studio wardrobe for their session. The first was a gorgeous white dress with flutter sleeves and details perfect for showing off her growing belly. The second was a beautiful dusty, lavender dress with an embroidered overlay. She said she felt just like a princess. Reactions like this are exactly why I love curating these pieces for you. Other than heirloom portraits, knowing you’re going to arrive at my studio and be pampered and treated so well from start to finish is the best gift I can give! 

As far as thoughtful gifts go, I’m pretty sure Dad wins this round! We’ve all agreed that the only gift to top them all is the sweet one arriving soon, their new baby girl.
