The newborn season of life is absolutely a whirlwind, and it’s my joy to get to serve you in documenting it in a way that makes life seem a bit less chaotic. As a Pass Christian newborn photographer, I love that I get to ensure that you feel cared for at every step of your portrait experience with me. I still pinch myself every day that this is my job, and I will forever be grateful to be entrusted with these moments.

Lucy’s Session 

After featuring last week’s lifestyle newborn session, I’m so excited to share this studio newborn session with you. Mom and dad were SO sweet. They just welcomed their first baby, and they’re absolutely smitten with her. Red hair runs in the family on both sides, and it was the sweetest surprise when baby Lucy arrived with the most precious shade of auburn red hair. I can’t wait to see how it changes over the next few months, and I’m totally pulling for it to stay red.

For Lucy’s bows and swaddles, we chose shades of pinks and creams to compliment her nursery color scheme. We kept things simple and sweet for mom and dad with similar tones. Momma’s beautiful cream dress is from the LSP studio wardrobe and provided the perfect amount of contrast against Dad. How adorable is Lucy in the rosette headband from the studio collection? 

Sometimes my clients have items that have significant meaning to them. I’m happy to incorporate that into any newborn session. Momma brought along Lucy’s “take-home” outfit as well as a dress that she wore as a baby herself. It is special touches that make these portraits even more heartfelt for them.

The Finished Design

After our studio session, we designed a three-piece wall gallery for Lucy’s playroom. Soon we will transition it to a five-piece gallery after her 6 month and 1-year sessions. It’s such a joy helping families turn these portraits into artwork that can grow as their family does!
