As a photographer, we all have our favorite milestones to document. Each has a place in our hearts for different reasons and is special in its own way. Maternity sessions are full of anticipation and excitement. The newborn session is so tender, and I love watching families so smitten with their new babies. Then, the sitter milestone session is full of fun as I get to see these sweet little ones come into their own personalities and start exploring their world. Of course the one-year session is full of sweetness too – smash cake and all! As a Pass Christian baby photographer, it means so much to preserve these memories of your little ones for you.

The Sitter Session

The sitter milestone session is always one of my favorites with my Baby Story families. It always amazes me how quickly these little ones go from tiny bundles to rolling and crawling everywhere. This age brings such a fun new season of exploring and seeing the world through their little eyes. As any mom knows, the days where they stay put go by in a blink.

We will plan this session right around the time your baby begins to sit up on their own. This can be anywhere from five to seven months and will vary with each baby. Every baby learns new skills when it’s right for them, so I make sure we reserve this session only when your baby is ready.

Sloane Turns Six Months!

It was such a joy having sweet Sloane back in the studio for her sitter milestone session. She is part of the baby plan and was just in the studio a few months ago for her newborn session. It’s amazing how quickly she’s gone from a tiny newborn to a curious, big girl. I can’t get over how sweet Dad is with his girl and love seeing how their bond grows with each new milestone.

Momma was so intentional with wardrobe for this session. For her first look, we chose something with a bit of sparkle so they could use the images for a New Years’ card. We changed it up at the end to something more simple so they could snuggle with their sweet girl in comfort.

Mom and Dad also decided to leave her sweet Sloane’s birthmarks on her cheeks as part of her story, and I love that she did. Remembering our babies just as they are is important. Sloane is the happiest little girl, full of gummy smiles and foot grabs and so much love for her Mom and Dad. I cannot wait to see how much she grows over the next month and celebrate her first birthday with another fun session!
