There’s nothing quite like getting to celebrate with families throughout their seasons of growth. I love photographing sessions, but the relationships built with clients over time are what I cherish greatly. It’s what makes The Baby Story so near and dear to my heart as a Gulfport, MS maternity and newborn photographer.

With The Baby Story, we will plan 3-4 classic sessions throughout your baby’s first year. While most families typically choose four sessions, this sweet family opted to add an additional maternity session to round out their collection of 5 sessions. Their first maternity session was shot at their new home just before the finishing touches were added to celebrate that special season in their lives. I loved mom’s vision of documenting such an important time.

After photographing their whole crew for their first session, we decided to keep things more intimate this time with just mom and dad. We planned for a more formal, so dad wore a suit and mom wore two different dresses that complimented it. Both looked equally stunning!

I adore photographing these two! You can see just how smitten they are with each other and are total naturals in front of the camera. They flowed into poses so effortlessly. The hugs and kisses never have to be directed. There were even a few times where he brushed back her hair in the most admiring way. There were truly so many beautiful moments to witness with these two, and I can’t wait for their little guy to look back on these one day to see how excited they were to welcome him!

A Note About Maternity Sessions

I know maternity sessions are so easy to put aside, Momma. You may not be feeling your best. You might be having a hard time accepting all the changes to your body. It may simply seem like it’s not as important of a season to document.

I can promise you that I’ve never had a momma regret documenting their pregnancy, but I have heard from plenty that have regretted not doing it. Even if it seems unnecessary for you in the present, I can assure you they’ll be beautiful memories to look back on. I can also promise you that between the flattering options in the LSP studio collection, professional hair and makeup pampering, and my experience with using the most flattering angles and poses that we will document the true beauty of this season for you.
